  1. I managed to fix my Hypothyroidism using Iodine from kelp and Selenium.
I also take( Liquid Colloidal Minerals) from GNC.

  2. Are you saying that BPD is a result of thyroid disorder or that it can exacerbate the symptoms . I have Graves and now am hypo after being given radioactive iodine . I’m also suffering from adrenal exhaustion . I was diagnosed with BPD at 38. I’ve tried therapy for 20 years but feel exactly the same if not worse than before . I’ve often looked back and wondered if everything has been a result of being physically sick as I know I had graves in my twenties . I also know I was depressed as a child so I can’t figure it out . What if it’s the opppsite – mind affects body ?

So glad you wrote this article, my doctor wanted to put me on a antidepressants, I said no, that I feel it’s my thyroid and low T double bummer.

  4. Thank you, Dana, for your enlightening article! As a recently diagnosed hypothyroid patient, everything I’m finding about my condition finally explains my more than 25 years of living with periodic depression, anxiety, cloudy thinking, moodiness, fatigue, etc. I’ve visited with and been treated by with several mental health professionals over the years, and none of them even suggested that I have blood work done to look at possible hormonal (including T3 and T4) imbalances. Thank heaven I at least know what I’m dealing with now and how to counteract what I was doing to myself with an mis-targeted diet and over-exercise. Thanks to you and others I finally feel hopeful.

  5. Hello i have been lost for the last 2 years, my thyroid has reached 14.00, to 9.07, my dr currently says its at 3.00, but she wants to get it to 2.0. I have brain fog daily, I have insomnia, go to sleep late, like at 11 and I wake up to use the restroom at 6am and then blam my mind is racing like crazy!! Ive lost 30 pounds, have no energy, cant drink anything with caffeine, I just have no motavation for life anymore, somedays i just wanna die. I would never hurt myself but I hate feeling like this, Do you think its still my thyroid?

    1. Quit gluten – my brain fog cleared and have reduced my thyroid meds twice since plus a muliple of other improvements – good place to start! Sounds like you’re a little hyper too strangely, do you take your thyroid meds as soon as you get up? If so, maybe why your mind races. Some people go between hyper and hypo when their thyroid first starts failing.

  6. OUTSTANDING … finally some data dealing with men for thyroid disorder .
My wife and I are theorizing that hypo in men MAY be worse from the emotional mental aspect than it is for women .
Less men have it than women . Less study on men with it , less accounts and comments from men and men will keep quit more and longer with metal problems than women will .
I did not and to a point it has not helped . I have been to 2 NP’s and neither are really taking that much of a listen when I talked about the metal stress and depression etc .
