Yes, a large tongue that&#039;s scalloped on the edges due to the tongue pressing against the back of the teeth from the enlarged size is a common symptoms of low thyroid. The term for the enlarged tongue is Macroglossia as in the case of this woman here in this study that I&#039;ll link below. Good to have you at Hypothyroid Mom.
