Hi Renee, I'm sorry to hear all you are going through. I have many Hypothyroid Mom readers here who are hypothyroid now since a total or partial thyroidectomy. Getting thyroid hormone replacement medication optimal is vital since the body relies on it if the thyroid gland is not able (or absent due to surgery) to produce sufficient thyroid hormone. I created a directory to help my readers locate the information they want to read about more easily because there are now hundreds of thyroid articles on the Hypothyorid Mom website. Here is the directory. I hope it is helpful to you: https://hypothyroidmom.com/thyroid-warning-signs-from-head-to-toe/

I feel so lost and neglected is the best way to explain it. I had a full hysterectomy at 28 and for me Crossfit seemed to work. I started at 202 pounds and got down to 138 pounds, which was a perfect weight for me. I felt good and life was good all while taking zero supplements. About a year and a half ago I started gaining weight, losing my hair, major issues with being cold, numbness in my limbs, unable to sleep at night but taking daily naps, headaches and massive weight gain. I am up 40 pounds while still exercising regularly like I used to. In February they found a tumor on my left thyroid and removed it plus my left thyroid. I’m continuing to have all the symptoms and can’t seem to find a doctor to help. They all just say I’m fine. This can not be my new normal. For 11 years everything g was great and I felt amazing. Now I hate life and myself. I feel like a walking zombie and no one seems to care.
