Hi Kiley, Here is an article with a few reasons why some people react poorly to T3 and NDT medications that you can ask your doctor to look into. Good to have you at Hypothyroid Mom. https://hypothyroidmom.com/why-some-people-cant-tolerate-t3-and-natural-desiccated-thyroid-medications/

I have low normal T3 and T4 (basically one point above low)with normal TSH but when I have tried NDT or cytomel I lose my cycle and start to have hyperthyroid symptoms. I have had many hypothyroid symptoms since childhood and when I went low carb or zero carb carnivore a few years ago my numbers dropped and my TSH went up but was still in the normal level. Does this sound like a mitochondria issue or actual thyroid? the negative response to the thyroid medications makes me think its not my thyroid that is the issue but no doctor can figure it out.
