Do you know what the impact of subclinical hypothyroidism is - and how quickly treatment may mitigate adverse effects? I tested with a high TSH but normal t4 at 4 weeks pregnant and my doc increased my Synthroid dose slightly since then. Is this something I need to worry about?

I have hypothyroidism. I've often wondered why my first child has developmental delays and has no specific diagnosis. And, I've had 2 miscarriages. This explains a lot and leads me to believe that maybe this is the reason. Did the doctors not have this information? I truly do not remember being tested throughout my pregnancies to make sure my thyroid levels remained normal. I, like you, will be able to help others by sharing the information we now have. Thank you for sharing. God Bless you until you meet that precious soul one day.
