Crystal, Are you taking levothyroxine medication? Getting the dosage of thyroid medicine right is important but it is also important to consider after trying a number of dosages that it might be a matter of the type of thyroid medicine. By time of surgery was diagnosed with Hashemite I believe but by that point really didn’t matter as thyroid was completely gone. Been on 200mg of thyroid meds and felt like crap since surgery. Recently switched drs. She did a tag test on me and I was sitting at an 8.87. So she switched my same dosage to am instead of pm. Dropped me to .087 in 4 weeks. For one of those weeks I felt like me again in all areas energy happier spunky ect. Then once I was that low felt horrible again. So she decreased my dose by 50mg putting me at 150 mg daily. One month later tested again now I am at a 10.33. Sent to new endo dr. At this point. He increased my dose to 175 daily. Still feel like crap always tired it’s like I have insomnia at night and during day if I sit for a minute I’m passed out hard or if not sitting struggling to keep my eyes open. I’m moody. In pain while body aches. 0 energy to do anything. Gained weight over these 6years so I feel awful in my body. So now….. we wait and see what I show up in another month. He wants to bring me down to a 1.0. I just know if I start to feel like I did for that week I want tested immediately so we know my magic number. He says he wants me at a 1 to help prevent the cancer from coming back in near by glands ect. Even tho my cancer was the alowest growing and is the least likely to return anyway. But I can’t do his number I need the number that makes me me again for myself my kiddo and my marriage. I just miss ME!!
