Hi there Carla Ann, I have just seen your comment here and am wondering how you have been doing since you posted as I can completely relate to your situation. I have had various meds since 2009 and definitely am so much worse on Levothyroxine than even off it. Doc says my thyroid is non functioning now and has put me back on them but it has completely inflamed my Fibromyalgia so much so that I am in pain every day. I also went to an endocrynoligist but having paid out a fortune found her to be useless ;( So would really like to know if you found any solutions as am due back to doc soon, thanks.

This was so helpful! I’ve only been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s since last May. In 2009 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Same story: they put you on Levothyroxine and only check your TSH! I had to get brutally persistent with my doc! Thank you Lord that she listened and ran every test I asked for….the endocrinologist diagnosed the Hashimoto’s! I fired him because he placated me! Ask them to check your vit d. I used to suffer with knee pain, but once I realized my vit d was only 21 I started taking supplements and my pain went away.
