Hi Julie
Have a look at Healthunlocked.com/ThyroidUK. It is a mine of information and very supportive.
Best of luck

Hi. I'm so glad I came across this post! I have melasma, fatigue, acne scars, dry skin, chronic infections, constipation, irregular menstrual cycles, and my hair is falling out. I have seemed to retain weight in my belly that never goes away, but only 3 or 4 lbs. I've always been thin, so I usually contribute the belly weight to constipation. I have been experiencing these symptoms for years, but without insurance I don't usually go to the doctor. However, in order to refill my antidepressant prescription I need to see my doctor yearly. Last year he checked my blood and I found out that I had hypothyroidism. My TSH/thyroid is 6.242. That's all I really know. Reading this post is the first time I have heard of Hashimotos. I go back for my yearly next month. Now I'll be able to ask informed questions and hopefully start feeling better. By the way, I get random waves of nausea at least once a week. Some pass quickly, some make me vomit. Symptom? I'm almost 47, so I contributed the irregular menstruation to menopause. So refreshing to know that I'm not yet. Anyways, thanks for listening and thank you for posting what you know about this. So very helpful!
